Due Date:  November 3rd, 2013... 65 days and counting... say what!?

Boy or Girl:  Sweet baby boy

Currently Avoiding: Trying to eat as healthy as possible and avoiding sweets except an occasional chocolate dipped ice cream cone from McDonalds

Weight: 168.5 at my visit this week.  That means up 24.5 lbs! Oh my goodness.  That is just crazy.  The number doesn't really bother me because it means I have a growing baby boy!

Belly Button Status:  Still in.

Sleep: So far so good, just lots of potty breaks!

Evidence of Pregnancy Brain: Absolutely.  And also clumsiness.

Symptoms:  I am feeling pretty fatigued at the end of the day.  I have also felt bouts of nausea again but nothing like the first trimester.  I have not had any issues with swelling, thank goodness.  Oh, and I have felt some indigestion.  It seems like if I eat anythings with onions it stays with me for hours!

Health:  Baby's heartbeat was 131 at my doctors visit.  They also gave me a TDAP Vaccine that caused my bicep to be sore for a few days.  They also drew blood to check my antibodies.

Movement:  My baby boy is moving all of the time!  It makes me smile with every move.

Baby Related Purchases:  We bought the crib! So excited to get it put together.  I have also made a few garage sale purchases.  I bought a few 0-3 month outfits and a fleece zipper for the car seat.  It is going to be cold this winter!

Best Part of this Pregnancy:  Feeling Bennett move around.  We are so excited to meet him!

28 Weeks

28 Weeks!
Baby is the size of an eggplant.  Over two pounds and up to 16 inches long!  He can blink his eyes and is putting on fat in preparation for the outside world.  I do love a healthy fat baby!
Nursery Progress:  The dresser/changing table is complete, window treatments are hung and the walls are painted!
The walls are painted!  Just need the baseboards and the room will be ready to fill in with baby goodies.

Milo has taken quiet well to the new colors and drapes in the nursery.  I think he approves!

Due Date:  November 3rd, 2013... 84 days and counting

Boy or Girl:  Go Blue

Currently Avoiding: I'll eat almost anything as long as it is safe for the baby

Weight: + 19 lbs at last doctors visit.  Trying to keep this trimester under control in the weight department.  The first trimester I lost weight because I felt so awful, the second trimester I felt SO MUCH better and started enjoying food again (maybe too much??), and so this third trimester my goal is to keep my weight in an ideal range and make sure I'm filling up on mostly fruits and veggies!  The doctor has not mentioned my weight one bit so I'm thinking I am still in the normal/healthy range.

Belly Button Status:  Still in.  No evidence of stretch marks!  Keeping my fingers crossed and belly moisturized!

Sleep: So far so good

Evidence of Pregnancy Brain: I can't remember... I am feeling many time so preoccupied.  Sometimes I totally lose my train of thought mid sentence, which is particularly embarrassing when I am talking with a patient.

Symptoms:  I have been really tired lately!  This weekend I took 2+ hr naps on Saturday and Sunday.  That has not happened since the first trimester.  I think baby is growing growing growing! Or it might have something to do with the obscene amount of sweets/junk food we have had around the house since having company last week.  Looking forward to detoxing this week.

Health:  Baby's heartbeat has been healthy, my blood pressure great (or low) and no signs of anemia yet.  I also passed my glucose test which means I do no have gestational diabetes.

Movement:  My baby boy is moving like crazy! I can especially feel him when I am laying on my side.  It is the best feeling ever!

Baby Related Purchases:  None to date.  I have been adding a lot to my registry.  I have two showers coming up in the next few months.  I am hoping to see what I receive and then fill in the rest as needed.  We have been buying gift cards to target every couple of weeks or so to help with diapers and added expenses when he arrives.  I won't be working so we will definitely feel a little pinch financially.  We have put some money aside but you never know if it is enough.

Best Part of this Pregnancy:  Just feeling Mr. Bennett move around :)

26 and 27 Weeks

Wow, time is flying by.  The second trimester went twice as fast as the first, which means the third trimester will probably go even faster!
We have been so busy the last few weeks, but the days are filled with all good things.  It is nice to cross items off of our check lists.
Baby is the size of a....! I have no idea what this fruit is.  Anyone help me out?

Does your dog do this too?

We are refinishing this dresser for the baby as a dresser/changing table

We just need some hardware... hmm glass? porcelin?

Cara, Michael and Bodhi are in town!  We love the company.

Is he not the cutest?

27 Week Bump Update

Due Date:  November 3rd, 2013... 89 Days to go! :)

Boy or Girl:  Go Blue

Currently Avoiding: Hmmm... not much!

Weight: + 19 lbs! Yikes!

Belly Button Status:  In for sure, but looking a lot more shallow.

Sleep: Sleeping well.  Up a lot to go to the bathroom but otherwise pretty comfortable.  I am definitely having more baby related dreams.

Evidence of Pregnancy Brain: I can't remember...

Symptoms:  The symptoms have been quite minimal.  I do notice the occasional back pain and I am quite tired at night.  Otherwise I haven't (knock on wood) had any issues with heartburn but a little bit of acid reflux.

Health:  Baby's heartbeat was 141 today and my belly measured right on track at 27 cm.

Movement:  Definitely feeling a lot of movement.  Some days more often than others.  I talked to the doctor today about it and she said she was not concerned.

Baby Related Purchases:  Still not much going on on the nursery front.  We have been finishing up some other projects around the house and soon will be working on the baby's room.  I think my first big purchase will be the crib with the car seat/stroller at a close second.

Best Part of this Pregnancy:  Third trimester is here!
